Our chapter’s alumni remain involved in the lives of the undergraduate members of the Beta Psi Chapter.  There are several organizations through which they give back, demonstrating the commitment they have made to ensure that our current members have the best opportunity possible to reach their fullest potential.

Beta Psi Foundation

Dedicated to encouraging the growth of leadership and positive character traits in the undergraduate brothers, this group raises money from Beta Psi alumni to award over $10,000 in scholarships to undergraduate Beta Psi brothers each semester.

Pledges are eligible for scholarships including:

  • Best All-Around Pledge ($1,000):  Awarded to the pledge who best demonstrates the ability to balance fraternity, academics, family, and community.  Multiple pledges may receive this scholarship depending on how many are deemed eligible.
  • Highest Pledge Class G.P.A ($1,000):  Awarded to the pledge with the highest GPA in his pledge class.  Multiple pledges may receive this scholarship depending on how many are deemed eligible.
  • Financial Need (Amounts Vary)

Brothers are eligible for scholarships including:

  • Most Dedicated Officer ($1,000):  Awarded to the officer who exhibits the most dedication to his position.
  • Most Dedicated Brother ($1,000):  Awarded to the brother who exhibits the most dedication to his chapter, school, and community.
  • Officer Commendation Award ($750 per officer):  Awarded to each of the four eligible officers who exhibit a high level of competence and diligence in carrying out their duties.
  • Academic Performance ($1,000):  Awarded to the brother who demonstrates a high level of academic performance in the previous semester or who shows significant improvement over previous semesters.
  • Financial Need (Amounts Vary)

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation sponsors and hosts a variety of leadership programs for the chapter. Every year we have our chapter Leadership for Life retreat, a three-day leadership retreat modeled after the National Horizons and Journeys programs, which included monthly small group meetings following the retreat.  There is another retreat scheduled for next year, with new criteria that both new brothers and brothers who attended the previous conference may benefit from.

Further demonstrating their generosity, the Foundation pays for chapter members to attend world-renowned programs through Sigma Chi Nationals, including Horizons, BLTW, and more.

Beta Psi House Corporation

The Beta Psi House Corporation raised the funds for our chapter house.  Built in 1996, the House Corps raised the $1.6 million dollars needed for construction by contacting Beta Psi alumni.  Continued generous donations allowed House Corps to remodel our residents’ bathrooms and their lofts, both projects that were eagerly awaited by the chapter.  For more information about the chapter house, please see the “House” tab.

Beta Psi Council

The Beta Psi Council plans and hosts many events throughout the year that are focused on connecting alumni with the undergraduates.  The highlights from last year include the annual Beta Psi Golf Tournament, a barbeque, GT Baseball games, and more.
